It was a cool, gray, and misty day, but Norfolk and Western Class J 611 put a smile on everyone’s face that I saw this afternoon watching a Goshen to Staunton, VA excursion put on by Virginia Scenic Railway. Virginia Scenic Railway runs excursion trains year-round, but this fall are running special trips behind the 611. Here are a few pictures and a video:
