Today at lunchtime I caught Norfolk Southern Train 211 passing east through Markham, Virginia on the B-line with NS D8-40CW #8442, D9-44CWs #8970 & 9057. The leader is an ex-Conrail unit equipped with a Leslie RS3L horn.

NS 35Q With Union Pacific SD70AH Leader
Yesterday, I took my daughters to see NS Train 35Q eastbound at Linden, Virginia. There was a nice K5LLA horn and a friendly engineer on the UP SD70AH #8854 leader. Thanks to Thomas for the heads-up!

I received word of multiple nice trains today (another high and wide special, the Penn Central heritage unit leading NS228, NS290 with a new GE ET44AC unit)… but the only train I could fit into my schedule was NS211 with…
