Today I lucked out and was able to catch NS Train 981 over Linden Hill at lunchtime with an ex-Conrail SD40-2 leader (RS3L horn). The train is destined for Selingsgrove, Pennsylvania where a power plant is being converted from coal to natural gas. Big thanks to Jason K. for the heads-up!
This was the second train I’ve caught for this project although there have been others. I previously saw a high-and-wide special on June 19, 2016 with a caboose.
